Power plants -- Disappears after being built!

This is a problem for beta 2a.

I don't know what you did, but you seem to have over-compensated when fixing the problem mentioned in this post.

Suffice to say, sometimes when you build a power plant, it isn't built, instead leaving an open tile after it is finished building. This same problem also occurs when building one of a kind stuctures such as starports.

I'll try to setup a good save that demonstrates this problem, and then e-mail it to support.

P.S.
Since we are on the subject, there is another problem I've been forgeting to report. Sometimes late in the game, if you were to destroy a starport, it cannot be replaced. It doesn't show up as a buildable structure thus creating a planet that can't produce ships. This occurs regardless of the method of used to destroy it, such as an invasion tactic, or being decommissioned.

Yes, always when you upgrade to a power plant the structure jsut vanishes and you get a blank tile. Although the production bonus from the powerplant still is shown at the planet deails and you cant built any more power plant.

It happened to me that i tried to built a trade good on a starport. but a enemy player built the trade good first so i could not finish it. and the starport was just gone.

I know it was mentioned that you could use the 'old improvements' tab to get multiple power plants on a planet.

When you fixed this did you take into account the possibility of conquering a planet that has a more advanced power plant than you can build. Because I could add my fusion power plant on a conquered planet with anti-matter power plant.

Yes it occured when you upgraded a tile to a powerplant, i reported it in my Beta 2A bugs thread a while back. CC if you haven't taken a look at my thread, take a peek, there are a few minor bugs there.

Yes, the fix for the other thread did cause this.  I have reinvestigated the problem and both problems are now fixed.

The new fix should prevent that.

I think I have seen that thread, but just in case, can you post a link for it?  Thanks.

The bug affected any improvement where you are only allowed to build one.   The fix will take care of those improvements too

Is this fix available for download or we have to wait for the next beta version ?

Is this fix specific to power-plants or is it for all "one-shot" improvements? Does this mean all one-shots upgrade correctly now (so the AI doesn't build the older version which then upgrades to the newer version, meaning they get two)? Does this mean ALL one-shot improvements become available to a planet when destroyed/decommisioned rather than being a hit-and-miss game of chance?

Modders want to know these things
