I pre ordered Dark avatars which is due on february next year, and im getting a downloadable of this game. I'm puzzled, wasnt this expansion due feb or so?... anyways, its me being curious

Dark Avatar is still a work in progress, so you'll be able to help the development team by informing them of bugs you find while playing and help them ready it for the February release. If you find problems in Dark Avatar, note it in the Beta Reports forum.

Funny, I bought the exp today and I didn't get any option to download it. Just an email that tells me I'll be notified when it's released. I guess I'll have to wait until Feb 12.

your email might contain a cd/activation key, if you download SD Central and then register DA you can then download the beta (assuming you have that option on SD central enabled)

It appears that the beta has been closed to new orders, as of yesterday. You will indeed need to wait until the release, sorry.
