Pre-Voting Counsel

It would be beneficial (aka fun) for the AI players allied with you to hold a council on the eve of a vote to discuss their stance on the upcoming topic. There you could sway or be swayed to a particular line of thinking to ensure your collective votes push the issue yours (and your allies) direction.

Without knowing their stand, its not only unrealistic, but really leaves a huge question mark over what direction you should vote to better your stance.

Perhaps your spies (if placed) could also report on the probable vote of your enemies or non-allies.

Well, it depends what the rules of the UP are. I guess the rules are that the vote has to be kept secret, in order to discourage tactical voting and to make sure that all civs vote according to their "conscience".

However if you have a very high espionage rating, then you should be able to find out what their vote will be before they cast it.

I tend to agree more with McDoogles here. I hadn't thought much about alliances and the UP together before I read here, but now I'm more vexed than ever that there is no way to prepare for UP votes.

I would like for the AI to boost its relations with you if you vote in it's interest. i.e. if you vote to put the Galactic Prison/Factory on Toria, the Torians wouuld like you more.
