I HATE SURRENDERING!

Get this...

Okey, picture this: I am the most powerful race in the galaxy. Then a meg-event happens and every one declares war on me. Then, out of nowhere, all of the races that attacked me surrendered to me. What is going on the the AI's brain?

I'm pretty sure I might be ranting, but surrendering can suck the life out of a game. Is there a way to disable it for good?

I'm not sure what's up with the surrendering lately. I just seen an AI take over two other AI opponents without a single transport built. They just destroyed their military and even having 20+ planets, the others just surrendered to them. If that AI opponent was human, I would think they were exploiting this on purpose. Why else declare war when you don't even have planetary invasion? Then destroy their military for the easy takeover. OK I'm probably giving the AI a little more credit than it deserves, but it makes you wonder just how smart is Brad making these guys.  Now the only problem is I have an AI hostile towards me with three times the planets I have. It's a hell of a lot of fun playing from behind though.

We've added a "No Surrendering" option in the galaxy setup screen....you can turn them off now, so wars will have to be carried out 'till the end.

I suppose this is for dark avatar? Or a new version of the normal galciv?

Hey I can't find the button. Is it not created yet for Dark Avatar?

While I think having the option is a good idea, I would prefer that they looked at and fixed the way the AI is surrendering instead of what seems like a 'we broke it too badly to fix it so turn it off' solution.

It's in the next build.

I love options too, but I'm more interested in hearing that the AI will be smartening up about surrenders.

Some of my best late games have come from having a straggler suddenly become the leading power. But in DA, I've seen some completely wacko stuff similar to that described above.

Ah yes, this will be in the next Dark Avatar build, not in a GC2 update.  Sorry for any confusion.
