Couple of newbie questions

1. Is it possible to use tranports to move population from one planet to another?

2. Is there a easy way to see a list or display of all the tech I have already researched?

When a transport goes into orbit, the combat thralls are released for a little R & R.

When conquering someone culturally, having some empty Combat Transports allows you to easily ferry troops away, either to a juicy planet or into combat.

Oh... max pop is 100000, although you can temporarily overload that. Alas, billions died, before I noticed the excess perished...

For clarification, the answer is yes. Follow PJ's suggestion and use archives in the research screen. It shows you all of the techs you have.

Thanks. Found the archive button. As for the transports, it is not for invasion. The UFP gifted me a planet that only have 5M on it and I want to move some pop from home world to there so there is enough production capability.

You don't have to use them for invasion they will transport troops between YOUR worlds as well :)

You can also transport population with colony ships, though this destroys the colony ship.

The advantage with transports is that they are re-usable and if ever you do need to mount a ground invasion quickly they're there ready :D
