More Stardock than GalCiv II

I have purchased at retail and installed GalCiv II.

Long ago I purchased and registered GalCiv I.

I launched Stardock to register GalCiv II. When attempting to register the game I was repeatedly told I had an invalid serial number. I was using my new email address. I had registered GalCiv I using my old email address.

I attemped to register GalCiv II using the same serial number (which I was told was invalid) and using my old email address and this time it worked. Kindly correct the the "invalid serial number" message when it is the email address that causes the rejection.

Next I had stardock email (old address) me my account information. It shows GalCiv II as a valid product, however the serial number listed is completely different than the serial number on the CD box.

To say the least, I am a little confused and disappointed and I have not even launched the game yet.

In my experience when you ask for your serial numbers by email those serial numbers work and are valid.

If you change you email address over the years; I think you can get your programs linked to the new email address just email Stardock and explain.

I think I will do this I have some OD components linked to my main email account and some linked to my hotmail email address.

Your GCII serial number should be okay.

While the number itself may vary, they are based on the same seed IIRC. So while they're different, they are all treated as the same one by the system.

If you change you email address over the years; I think you can get your programs linked to the new email address just email Stardock and explain.


You can also change your address on your account yourself right here on the forums (See the My Account link at the top).

I think I will do this I have some OD components linked to my main email account and some linked to my hotmail email address.


If you have two different SD accounts, support can merge them for you.
