Possible mod idea -- Mark Miller's Traveller

Does anyone remember, or you may even still play, Mark Miller's Traveller RPG? I played classic Traveller back in high school (I'm 33 now -- damn I'm getting old), and I have been playing GURPS Traveller for a few years now. For those who don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about go here: http://www.travellerrpg.com/ or http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/traveller/ .

Anyway, I have seen screenshots of other mod ideas. The Babylon 5 mod looks great! I think the Traveller universe would make a great setting for a GalCiv mod. If I remember correctly, the idea for Traveller came from the strategy board game TriPlanetary.

Also, Mark Miller seems very open to liscensing the Traveller name for quality products. With this in mind, I could see an official mod in the future -- hint, hint to the powers that be...

Give me feedback.

See you in the Metaverse!

Not only have I played classic Traveller , but I'm only a few months away from knowing the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

As I implied in another thread, I like the Mods, but I'm more interested in discovering (and constructively criticising) Brad's background to the GalCiv universe (upside-down, burning crucifixion was the preferred method of constructive criticism for my old gaming group - I still have fond memories of those cheap iron nails melting into my flesh, while the group sang old Everly Brothers tunes).

I'm not sure Brad wants or needs our input on his established background, but I like the collective approach to the fine-tuning of fantasy worlds. (Plus, I'm Canadian, so tradition says everybody gets to put in their two cents before the arbitrary decisions get made.)

End transmission.

Sorry MasterMoO, I have tried to find where I had seen the screenshots, but I am having trouble locating them. I wish I had bookmarked them. I know for a fact the B5 mod screeshot I looked at was through a link posted on this forum. The subject was something like "What all can be changed in GalCiv" or "How moddable is GalCiv" or something along those lines. I know this doesn't help much, but maybe it will spark someone else's memory. In the mean time I will keep looking.
