Not bad for the first game...

Well DL'd the game and I (as many have already) have some suggestions/fantasies:

1. Will there ever be more than 5 planets to each solar system? I have seen 1,2,3 etc. but never more than 5, any reason?

2. Is there any way to actually make the planets rotate around the sun? Stardock has done a great job being able to rotate the planets themselves and also the ships in orbit, but for a more realistic look and feel maybe the planets can rotate around the sun.

3. I personally would like to see new kinds of anomilies. Something besides the same 6 or 7 that I come across each time I play. The last time I played DA my flag ship scanned an anomily that said it was a planetoid, but upon inpection it was an ancient trade ship...I pretty sure that this was a bug, not 100% though.

4. Is there a way that mining the astroid fields might give up a special alloy/metal that only your civ or another civ can produce for ships, engines, weapons etc. to be that much better than the next civ?

5. Lastly, maybe Stardock can finally make a way to declare war without having to actually attak someones ship/planet. In the viewscreen, maybe put a tab there for declaring war, and also asking for a civ whether major or minor to surrender. So many times I have played a will be kickin the crap out of another civ and the surrender to another civ instead of me. Not really sure why this happened but I'd like to see this addressed.

Please let me what you guys think, I'll be updating this the more I play...

1 and 2: No. It caused major issues with the game. 2 moreso.

3: You can mod more anomalies in

5: Not sure whether they're going to do this or not, but it's a popular (yet still rather minor) request.

4 I skip, as I don't have DA.

5 should be in, but if it's not showing up for you guys then it's a bug

Yeah, it must be bugged then. A pity, because I am enjoying DA at the moment. Asteroid Fields alone really changed the game. Now barren star systems can have some significant strategic worth because of the fields alone.

It works. Choose 'Declare War' under Treaties and press send, it's as simple as that.
It seems to be bugged though because my senate didn't get to vote on it even though I was Republic.

1 - I think the issue is that it makes the system too cluttered. I'm not sure but I think you cant fit 6 planets in one system without having 2 of them in adjacent squares. Which would look daft.

2 - If the planets orbited the star every turn the distance between planets not in the same system would change as they orbit. One turn its here, next turn its a square over, by the time your ship moves between systems the destination might be be on the other side of the sun. It would play havoc with the AI as everything would need to be recalculated and the varying travel times could scrw up AI strategy. On the plus side it would look cool.

on number five if you add a sixth planet to the starting systems it will some times show up

but it will not have the system name on it ie a different system name will appear

Just made the change to make it pop up a Senate vote before war can be declared in the trade screen. Thanks for catching that one
