Question about talking with the Dread Lords

Will you guys be adding in an animation for them, or will it always be their logo?

You're not supposed to be able to talk to them...

I was able to talk to them once in campian were they randomly made peace with every civ. I clicked on the news icon declearing peace and I talked to them, however they had every tech and thier diplomicy was though the roof so I didn't trade anything.

Mine's a bit more then that. They keep telling me that I have ships on their border and I need to move them. Then I click the Speak button and they tell me how they hate me in some ways. It really looked like you guys were trying to make it do that.
I'll try to take a pic of it the next time. They got really involved in war and peace efforts in my game, but I've never seen them. I got the Terrans to attack them, though.

In about 3-4 games I have started, Dread Lords have popped up as AI players in every game! Gah, I would not mind Dread Lords as a Mega Event but not as playing race. Iam sure SD corrects this in the next beta.

Did you mean campaign? I thought that the campaign wasn't in the beta yet, because when I click the 'Campaign' on the main menu, there are no campaigns for me to choose.

Did my install go wrong or something? Should I reinstall the beta?

I suspect he's talking about the GC2 campaign there.

I was under the impression that the Dread Lords were going to be in DA as a mega event, I suspect they're cropping up as a major race here due to some sort of bug. They certainly don't care about your opinion enough to actually hold a conversation!

In DA not only I had conversation with them, I also sold them some technologies! Are they powerful as GC2 or they are more "normal"?

Its a bug, Dread Lords should not be in normal sand box games as AI player. Unless they are mega even.

Oops. I didn't see this when I made my own thread. I just got them in sandbox mode by selecting random opponents (i'm not using the Dread Lord scenario).

I also gave them a research and economic treaty for the same from them, plus 20,000BC. They must have had a change of heart or something.

Yep, I've got them there too. They were counted as a major race. I was playing a medium galaxy with 3 random opponents. And they ALWAYS seemed to have 20,000 BC... every time I talked to them.

In DA, I've also got Dread Lords as major race in sandbox mode. They haven't contacted me yet, but I just think it's weird they're in sandbox mode, without an event, because I didn't see them as an option for opponents.

I got a Mega Event that had them show up. Scared me a little, but I have yet to see them. I'll update if and when they knock on my door.... PLaying Yor so with my Super-Ab (slow speed) I'll have plenty of time to see them coming... LOL.

Don't worry, when they appear in Sanbox mode they're pretty weak. They send out streams of constructors like a minor would do. (I assume it's because they don't have all their uber tech). They probably work better in the Mega Event.
