Starbase Tree

Anyone got one?

I've been having trouble planning out my starbases and the associated techs to get there. Anyone have or know of a link to a starbase module "tree". I am particularly interested in pre-requirements (must have this module installed before you can get that module) and the associated technologies required.

I haven't seen such a thing myself, but the Galactopedia should be able to give you the info you seek about as easily as anything else.

I'm going to try to post something that's pretty much what you're looking for, but I don't know if it will work. This data is a bit old, but should help you out. Anyway I'll give it a try.

Well that didn't work. I have an excel spreadsheet that I saved as an .htm and used advanced mode post with no conversion. The post preview was legible, but no such luck on the post itself.

I suppose I could post this to some file hosting site and provide a link like we do with images, does anyone have a recommendation on a site to use.

This is actually not all that uncommon a thing to want to do, it would be nice if we had a recommended way to do it.

Thanks, Kryo. Hope it helps someone out. The bonus percentages are from v1.2 and are now different but the required modules and the techs still should be correct.

Thanks a lot. A little shocked at how linear it is. I could have sworn that when I went to upgrade an influence base that I had more than two choices. Oh well...

You have all the starbase weapons and defenses to select from as well (BTW I never bother with these), but if you ignore these there really aren't many choices. Each module you get enables the next module as long as you have the required tech, that's mainly what I use it for, to make sure I'm researching the correct tech path to get all the modules. Sometimes it's not totally obvious what branch of the tech tree you need to be on.

Really. That's strange, what were they. I've never built anything but resource mining and economic starbases. Also I've never used any modules other than mining modules on resource mining SB's and manufacturing modules on the economic SB's, but there's never been any more than the one module to chose from if you exclude the SB weapons and defense modules.
