soldier detail

needs more.

Who here needs more detail for their soldiers? I do! I think that the ground battle should have better detailed soldiers, tanks, and.. the, um..... The big boxes on wheels.  I think each race should also have different looking ground units.....

Don't you think?

Yup.

The soldiers with the happy feet and the happy meal boxes on wheels which seem to float upon victory... have to go.

Yeah better detailed multiple effects, different units and a CINEMATIC CAMERA!

Different weapon types that appear to depict the level of your soldiering would be a nice addition. I also am not the worlds biggest fan of the Happy Meal boxes

However i appreciate that even they are more preferable to no animation at all!

Agree with you General of the Garand Republic

Need more detail and depth in planet invasions

Why? You'll 'ooo' and 'ahh' for a about ten planets then get totally bored. THEN you'll demand even greater 'detail and depth.' Just like the Data Drain cinematic in the dotHack games. Its cool for about six drains, then you turn it off for about six weeks.

There's no pleasing you people...

Haha, jk. I'm not that mean! But I do mean what I said, just not that harshly.

what would be cool is for them to charge at each other faster, and to actually see the bombardment!

Guess that means we don't have to respond that harshly either then!

Yes i do know there have been other threads of the same type (look at my profile and you will see i have been around for some time now) however this does not mean we cannot respond to a new member posting something that may have been posted previously. In an ideal world members would search for older topics of the same name before posting but in reality that ain't never gonna happen. (After 3+ years running my own forums i can vouch for this ) So beating up on people for posting a previously run topic and then for answering it is, to put it mildly, absurd.

What constantly amazes me here is the number of people who go out of their way to 'flame' other users for little or no reason other than them liking the sound of their own voices. Is it just my thinking that if you do not like a thread then just don't read it! Ruining it for others by posting non constructive criticism just baffles me as to that persons line of thinking. Surely in this day and age a member should be able to post on a subject without worrying that some 'person' will start flaming them for doing so???

So let members post on old subjects. Let others answer already answered questions. As long as somebody requires assistance there will always be members willing to help, regardless of the 'people' who are going to moan at them for doing so.

Actually, I like the victory celebration.

I don't remember *that* many threads about this.

I think different invasion types, different cinematic.

I like this idea. You could get a meteor shower with mass drivers, a tidal wave with tidal disruptors, etc.

I agree with this as well. It would be nice if the view was a bit closer and the front lines of foot soldiers met head on in a bayonet charge. That would be cool.
