Map Editor

Why not make a small and simple, easy-to-use, user-friendly built-in or external map editor that saves times from having to manually work through Notepad?

I think it would be a plus.

I think an official editor should be made, as TBH the unnoficial ones aren't that good.

I LOVE MAP EDITORS!   
I think that a map editor would be DA BOMB for us game modders.
I use a map editor for a lot of different games from first-person-shooters, to stratagy.

Out of curiosity, what are the biggest problems you have. Feedback has been pretty limited so far. I can't make any promises, because my time has been limited recently, but it will at least give me an idea what needs to be a priority.
