GNN and notices get forgetful in large games

I am still having a problem in 1.4X with the game only going part of the way through the events reported by GNN and the notices on the right at the beginning of each turn.
This only happens in larger games later on in the game, and it is inconsistant from turn to turn. By inconsistant, I mean that much of the time it goes through the whole list, some of the time it goes through most of the list, and occasionally it goes through almost none of the list (i.e. GNN has 10 things on its list and 40 planetary improvements are built that turn and 50 ships are completed.)
I know how to work around these problems, but it really slows down each turn, which are slow enough at this point.

Still having a wonderful time, wish you were here.

Scincerely,
Scintor

I don't know how closely related this is, but in my most recent 1.4x game, the Drengin surrendered to me without any kind of notice; the new turn just started with me owning all of their planets (well, the three I hadn't had a chance to take from them yet, at least). In my last three games, all 1.4 or 1.4x, several factions have declared war on me without a notice screen, too. These were all Medium galaxy games.

A few of us have mentioned that lack of the war declaration/surrender screens in other posts as well.

It is an annoying ommission in 1.4, and so far I have not seen any responses by the devs about it.

Had the same thing happen in my last game. I was in the diplomatic screen trying to squeeze blood out of the Torians in exchange for peace. They cried no deal. They hated me and my tactics. Next turn, I own them.

Moose...

Actually, it looks like war declaration will be in DA.

Check the images in the recent journal entry.

That's great for whenever DA comes out. In the meantime, it should be fixed for the regular game.

Fantasy Island... the greatest plot line for a pr0n series gone to waste on network TV.

I have also had several war and surrender screens go missing... it is a little annoying when I learn someone is at war with me when the troop transports start hitting my planets.

I am about 5 years into my current 1.4x game, gigantic map, and I have not seen a single declaration of war, or surrender screen pop up. Its kind of frustrating as I currently only have the resources to fight a war on one front.

It would be nice if we could get some of the developers to comment on this.

In addition to being attacked without any notice, I am having research updates by spying before the notice that my spys have acquired the information. This is on the largest maps with the max number of opponents.
