Galaxy size

Any word on if we'll have the option to have a huge or gigantic galaxy that's 2 or 3 times larger then it is now? I don't know about ya'll but I LOVE HUGE maps with lots of room to expand and not seeing my first opponant for several turns instead of the next. Ok, thanks all, where's the beta... wanna beta... rool:

It would take a lot of work to make large maps. While I like the idea, if it kills my computer, I do not want it.

Yikes, I can't play the larger sizes. Large is as high as I go; medium is perfect.

don't know if my computer could handle it but i would like to see something more like a real galaxy or maybe two galaxies big

but i like big games i guess that is my bad

Thanks danielost, I guess I should have said an option for i... oh wait I did. Maybe I should have said an option for those of us that want it but to let it be unchecked for those that don't want it. I don't know why people say not to do an option because they don't want to use it or their computer can't handle it. Anyway, I want huge maps with 4515681351 stars and up to 1000000 planets and moons each

I want a super teeny map. 1 star, 5 planets, 1 race each planet. I want the whole galaxy to be 1 sector. 1 anamoly. No resources. That would be... special.

on the pre made map "corners" its almost like that when you set it so there aren't many planets or suns

Why not? as an option one should be able to go as big as their PCs (or patience) can handle, after all the unisverse IS BIG...

Also, why not a 3D galaxy instead of the two-dimensional one we currently enjoy?

Bigger is better

The option to have bigger sizes thn currently would be nice, but not at the cost of a different improvement..

I love the biggest maps in games, I really do. But sometimes, late in the game, it gets tedious when it's obvious you will win, mopping up the competition.
