Can't see constructor circles

For some reason I can't make out the area of effect circles for constructors on my desktop. When I play my game on my laptop it works fine, but on my desktop I really have to struggle to see it. Could it be my graphics card? I only have a fx5500 on my desktop as opposed to a 6800 on my laptop. Both cards make the system requirements though. Could it be the monitor I'm Using?
I'm using the latest version of the game, with the collectors addition. Anywone have this problem or a solution?

This has been discussed a bit here, it's most likely a monitor issue. It can help if you're willing to change your race color but you'd probably need to play with it to see what works best on your monitor. Most folks aren't willing to let their race color be dictated by the viewability of constructor circles.

The normal reason folks want to see the constructor circle is to know where to build starbases. The radius of the constructor circle actually is about 1/2 parsec smaller than the actual starbase influence area. Plus there's a bit of issue of whether partially covered parsecs receive the SB influence (they do).

There was a recent thread where this was discussed. I also posted a graph in this thread that shows the SB influence area if it helps.
