In Arizona, if you are caught going either 20 or 25 over the limit (I don't remember which), you are automatically taken to jail.

That's pretty ridiculous. Remind me never to visit Arizona.

LOL, a post about stupid commercials just turned into a conversation about highways and speed limits.

I have 3 that really annoy me:

2nd runner up: The Manning family, making breakfast, and Peyton is barking out play call changes. Its probably a clever commercial, but I hate that act of his during the actual games, so it p%%%es me off. Plus, I don't know what its for.

1st runner up: I think its off the air, but the Taylor Hicks POSSSSSSSIBILITY!!!! Ford ad was horrid.

And the WINNER: Dunkin Donuts, the ugly family in the car, rattling off all the places they had to go, capping off with KARATE! How about the kid skips karate that day and they take him to the barbershop instead? Stupid haircut, ugly blothcy mom, aggravating ad.

A lot of ads are funny, but are too clever for their own good because you don't know or remember what product they are for.

Capital One unemployed barbarians was a great ad campaign, the barbarians themselves before that was pretty good too. The want to get away ads for SW Airlines are good, especially the lady with the eye problem who ends up in the men's..funny.

OH. I just remembered, even worse than Dunkin...we have a local furniture store here is MA called Jordan's, who rip off other funny national ads. This has been going on since Michael and Larry were playing horse for McD's way back when. Two ponytailed balding losers, laying on couches and using other ads catch phrases. Horrible. Thank god for the remote control.

But isn't this usually the case at this forum? I could care less about it so don't think that I am ranting, I just think it's a hoot, especially when some of the more "serious" poster's get extremely agitated over it. I think it just boils down to almost all of us at one point or another enjoying the general banter amongst ourselves since we all at least have this game in common. Yes, sometimes we stray and even get out of hand... but then someone like Vivaswan comes along and unites us in such a strange way, it makes one wonder sometimes...

The commercials at the superball last year were dissapointing, i think.

I kinda like those superball commercials, but I hated them having the Rolling Stones, great band, but they are like in their 60's and dress like they're in their 20's. Gave me the creeps watching that.

I am scared by the new Microsoft commercials with the people dancing all funky.

You should be. That commercial promotes the "Skinny People With Eating Disorders Are Cool" toxic meme.

One of my least favorite, most cringeworthy commercial is the one where the folksinger with an acoustic guitar volunteers to provide sappy background music to some hapless shmoe who is eating a candy bar.

All of them, it matters not when your favorite program is interupted.

I kinda like those superball commercials,

I think I need to quote Aqua Teen on this one...

Meatwad: "Hey Karl, guess who won two tickets to the superball?"

Karl: "It's pronounced superbowl. It's funny that you say that cuz you're a friggin idiot. So HEEEEEY who you takin?"

Personally, i loath the six flags commercials with the bald dancing guy. AND THAT CRAPPY VENGA BOYS SONG! And when Seth Green shot him in Robot Chicken I cheered.

You must be bored today, digging up these old threads.    BTW I'm usually not a fan of l33t but Novocain is marginally clever.

Darn right I'm bored.

Ever work as a web programmer with no current assignments the day before a holiday? I finished my work for the day on the train ride to work =\

Now Dunkin Donuts has one that's about as bad as the stupid family-KARATE one.

The title I'd give it will tell you all you need to know if you've seen it: "Alarm Clock Catastrophe"
