creating hulls

in a lot of mods there are hulls that were made by a user. i just want to know if you have to download something or just how you make hulls.

There are quite a few in the Library, along with instructions on how to use them.

All that is required is a 3d modelling suite, an directX format exporter, and the skill to use them. You can get the 3d modeller Blender for free, though I'm unsure of the quality of the DX exporter for it and it is said to be more difficult to learn than the industry-standard (expensive) packages.
