I know it's been said before, but... Hot seat please !

Hey everyone,

I usually just read the messages posted on this board, but with the imminent arrival (delayed, but for a good reason it seems) of the expansion pack, I would just like to add my voice to the ones already asking for a hot seat option.

I still get together with some friends to play hot seat Civi 4, or even sometimes the old-but-great Alpha Centauri.

I think it would be a probably less time-consuming process to integrate than actual full-blown netplay, and would add a huge new approach to the gameplay.

What do you guys think ? Is this idea dead in the water, or has some hope of eventually getting to Gal Civ II ?

Dead idea. Leave it alone, because it'll either be in a later expansion or not at all.

Its already in the game as a cheat. Even though I think it should be in Dark Avatar.

Cheats and keyboard shortcuts

Z - Enables autoplay/Quasi-Hot Seat Game (the AI takes turns without waiting for the user)
DeskScapes - Bring your desktop background to life.

Hotseat wouldn't be a large implementation of resources, since it's already there- so it's something that should be strongly considered- unless SD is saving it to milk us later (which wouldn't be a bad business idea)

One thing I will say- in 2k9 when GCIII starts ramping up- I'd like MP to be considered then, since GC3 could be a big-budget item compared to GC2, and the engine is near perfect right now- only the trimmings aren't perfect.
