AI Chases Freighters it cannot attack

Hey there, love the game, about time someone fixed the mess they made of MOO. I love how responsive you guys are, its incredible. Can't wait for DA (HE HE PRE_ORDERED ALREADY).

Anyway, enough butt kissing, time for the complaint

When I research the Galatic whatever that protects all my freighters permanantly I have noticed that the AI doesn't seem to get the message. The computer will simply move a pack of ships constantly after my freighters seemingly trying to attack it. I once had to throw a game away because every turn took like 10 minutes as the AI would move massive quantities of ships one ship at a time, one space at a time after my freighters which it couldn't attack, turn after turn after turn. One would think that the AI should eventually learn they can't attack them and stop using that as a strategy.

Ok, enough complaining back to the butt kissing, can't WAIT for the planets being diff types and only certain ones can you inhabit. SO reminds me of the rock people (chrysondrods) or something like that from MOO, having to tech out the ability to do diff planet types was a huge thing in MOO can't wait to have it added.....

That's been an issue with the Galactic Privateer for a while. The only way I've found to avoid it is to not build it.

I used it as a cheat once, when almost all of the Alterian fleets were chasing my freighters. Their largest concentration of planets was also in this area, but I manage to slip a couple of attack and invasion fleets by their forces and invaded a whole bunch of planets, making them surrender at once and evaporating their fleets.

For one time it was fun, otherwise it is kind of an annoying bug (the one that bothers me the most actually, when playing a game).

It's a good way to distract AI fleets from taking on real targets. Think of it as an unintended bonus to having the Galactic Privateer
