Forum Formatting Problems in FireFox

Forum Formatting Problems in FireFox

Has anyone here had problems with Firefox not formatting the forums correctly? Essentially what I've noticed is that during the page loading the replies and images align correctly, and upon completion of the page load they shift, and aren't lined up correctly. Even the little 'font' drop down box on top of the reply box shifts up and out of its normal docking area - and if I select it, it moves back down - *almost* fixing the formatting problem, but the little medals and award images or whatever they are are still shifted.

Does anyone know what sort of setting I need to do in FireFox to get that to work?

What version are you running, and what extensions are you using? Screenshots of the problems would also be helpful.

I am running FireFox v1.07. Extensions running are Adblock and Filter Set G. I don't believe Adblock causes any problems, since I don't run that at home, and I get this same formatting error.

Here is an image from this thread. Notice the 'medals' below your post not formatting correctly, and the 'font' and 'size' dropboxes from the reply field not landing in their correct docking locations.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Update to 1.5. The forum was designed with the 1.5 branch in mind, and is likely to have issues with older versions.

Just installed FireFox 1.5 and that fixed the formatting problem. There is still a minor issue I noticed, dealing with the images below your reply. Firefox crops the images for some reason - this doesn't affect the ability to read like the formatting did, but I felt it was worth mentioning

Here is an image of what I'm talking about

The difficulty icon has 'AD' in its filename, so unless you disable adblock or whitelist the url, it will try to block that medal with most generic filtersets.

Oddly, I'm running AdBlock on 1.5 firefox with no problems. Not sure what the difference is, seeing as how I've never whitelisted a thing with AdBlock.

You won't have any problems if you don't use a filterset that blocks anything containing 'ad' in the url
