Super Techs?

Terror Stars, Virus Elimination etc etc

I just browsed the Movies folder of the game file, and looked into the Techs.

Interesting names for the bik movies. We have things like these:
Terrorstar0.bik
Terraform0.bik
Viruselim0.bik

I have played a few Large Maps as the awesome N-1 (Yor) and never came across these texts. The feeling in my guts tell me that these super-techs require super technology and super luck to achieve. Has anyone ever managed to construct a terrorstar or eliminate viruses from their systems??

It's because the little wireframe tech animations are (AFAIK) all straight from GC1, where those things did exist.

And as of now, they don't exist. So while some people claim they've got the terror star or stealth or virus techs available, they don't actually do anything because the code isn't there.

So the only way to get them would be to edit the source code.
