conversion problems

i extracted a mesh from a homeworld mod and then used it in studio max 8 and it was all ok, but when i converted to an.x file and went to see it in game it was showed all messed up, can you tell me what i can do to make it work right?

I notice there are a lot of unanswered posts on this topic recently, maybe someone could post a tutorial on dealing with meshes and hardpoints? Or, maybe Stardock could post some information about how they make them?

Probably because nobody has a clue. More details would help, especially posting a link to the .x and textures so people can look at it themselves.

I would suggest you put the question to the guys over at I-mods.
I know someone who did, and he's been doing a personal project of importing high res startrek ships from SFC and BC. Without their help, he would have spent ages working out what to do.
