I'm a HUGE fan of Bab5 and love the screenshots.

I hope you keeping working on the mod, and that its a labor of love. I'm sure I'll check out the Trek one too, but while I've been a Trekkie since I was a kid, it was Bab5 that stole my heart & soul.

A few comments

1. I'm experiencing a bug where if I construct custom ships they turn invisible. Its not all of them; I customized the "Earth President's" model for fast survey with no problems; however a customized fast colonizer vanished.

I didn't see this bug mentioned above so posted. It doesn't prevent you from moving the ship around or otherwise affect it adversely, its just invisible (stealth! )

2. Modules, engines, etc, are invisible when grabbed or added. I assume this is normal for custom models and ignored it

Fan Comments - all IMO

1. I found it odd the Anla'Shok were a Race and not simply a faction / specialized tech tree

2. Perhaps a piccie of a Shadow or its facial features (the glowing lines of eyes ) for them? Seeing Morden's radiation-seared face doesn't exactly inspire fear, heh.

Not having Xeno Ethics is going to be different. Does that prevent you from ultimately selecting an ethical alignment? I guess it means their Wonders can't be built, either . . . . I'd have to do a lot more gameplay to understand exactly what's involved.

3. The "scout" for Earthforce is, if I'm not mistaken, an Earthforce Destroyer (and perhaps should be bigger if so). I'm trying to remember if they used scouts other than the fighter class ship . . . a friend is bringing over the entire series on DVD so if I see one I'll post.

Anyway, the ships look great . I am not doing the work, so my IMO comments are just that, IMO.

I don't know if this answers your question.
in the current .4 mod if your shadows and vorlons you can't build colonizers... so try the older version .3.

You should be able to in the customize ship building screen for constructors...freighters for trading require trade tech.

Took a *cough* sickie *splutter* today *cough cough* so I could devote some more time to modding GalCiv2! Should at least have an ETA and some screenshots of the Dark Avatar release by tonight.

Thanks for the comments Popcorn Avenger. I am still undecided about whether some races should be majors or minors - up till now anyone with enough hull models became a major but DA changes a couple of things. It is now easier to organise and access different ship styles... and you can set the number of minors to 8 so that everyone is always in the galaxy.

Anyone else with ideas about the split between majors and minors? Don't know if increasing the maximum number of minors is something the devs are considering... would be very cool... the more the merrier right?!

Version 0.5 of the Babylon 5 mod will be released by the 28th Jan. This will only work if you are playing the Dark Avatar beta version of GalCiv2.

After DA comes out on the 14th Feb I will focus on the tech tree. Icewyng has offered to help flesh out the weapon and defense techs with lots of ideas from the B5 Wars and Call to Arms boardgames. The plan is to have enough detail to make racial tech branches really work... and release a really polished DA version (0.6!) by the end of feb.

Only have the Drazi Sunhawk and Skyserpent so far Eclipse, still looking for a Stormfalcon without 1 gazillion polys

I'm new here and this is my first post. I would like to first of all say that this is a great mod, however I am currently having some problems. For some bizarre reason the mod keeps killing itself whenever the random event for the creation of a "ranger" appears.
If you could tell me whats wrong and possibly a fix I would greatly appreciate it.

A friend brought over the DvD's of all 6 seasons so I'm having a B5 marathon

To answer my own question, yes, there was a "scout" ship, called the Explorer class, they had an episode featuring it in Season 2, "A Distant Star". Not really a scout I guess, as its huge and designed to explore the rim and build jumpgates.

For some reason ,I can't build a colony ship for the Shadows ,or a constructor with Earthforce ...Will you fix that in an up coming version?

Right off the bat i want to say this is an amazing mod. Cool models, engrossing game play and it just FEELS like B5.
Anyways, a glitch ive found:
Technomage ships=no textures. At least the frigate types and up.
The entire technomage race i found was far too powerful.

Other than that i haven't really experimented with any of the races other than the EA and can't really give you a full bug report yet.
Im sure you've probably fixed that bug in the .50 version but to be on the safe side...

On a side note..
I can't find that file with all the movies and stuff ANYWHERE to download. All the links seem to be broken. Do you have copies of them or is there any way to obtain these? It would definitely be awesome if i could get a hold of it.

Awesome job on this mod, I'm absolutely loving it. I had to play the latest version that doesn't require the beta expansion, since I don't have that.

I cranked the Vorlon and Shadows up to Godlike levels since they were getting crushed before without colony ships.

It took awhile for the Shadows, who were located near my Earth Alliance territories, to expand, but they're on the move. And good god are they extremely strong on God mode. Not invincible, but still tough. They've mounted invasions on numerous Earth Alliance planets.

I was able to get the Minbari and Rangers to come into the war on my side, and the Vorlons voluntarily contacted me and gave me some of their ships, so that was cool and unexpected.

Right now I can only produce some weak Starfuries, but in large enough numbers I'm slowly wearing down Shadow vessels while I try to fortify my border planets and mount my own retaliatory strike.

Also, big thanks to Spaxspore for reuploading his file and contacting me so I could download it.

Version 0.5 of the Babylon 5 mod will be released by the 28th Jan. This will only work if you are playing the Dark Avatar beta version of GalCiv2.

Does 0.5 work with the final version of GalCiv2, or do I have to wait for 0.6?

I have just baught the Dark Avatar Beta version and tried to install the new version of Babylon 5 mod. Apperrently, I am doing something wong becuase, the mod is not working.

Can someone please help me. This is the first time I am doing this.

The only thing I don't like right now about Earth Alliance is that the you have to research surtain tech to get the Colony ship. While Other races already have the Colony Ship.

Purchased Dark Avatar to try this mod out but unfortunately I always seem to get a CTD when loading into gameplay. I also always select clear after selecting my race. Tried several races, no change. Running the regular game works fine. Any thoughts?

I don't have "Dark Avatar" yet either, but I wanted to try this mod too.
