Web Poll

I've noticed some... strangeness from the web polls. At times when I load the homepage when I have not voted I do not have the option to vote. This can occasionallybe fixed by veiwing a post then clicking the home button above Databanks. I've also noticed that alot of the time after voting once when I come back to the site I have the option of voting a second time, and a third and so on.

Anyway I was wondering whats going on with that, to me it seems very possible that this could be throwing off the results of the polls, possibly adding even more bias into it. I say more bias because really its only the real fans of the game that repeatedly visit the site, just for those that had no idea what I meant.

Also noticed it, refreshing the page seems to let me vote, if that's any help to you.

Yea, when a new poll comes out it acts like I've already voted. Acouple days later though it will clear and let me vote.

For some reason the forums do not always update the poll. This can be overcome by clicking on the 'Delete cookies created by the forum' link at the bottom of the page and/or signing out and then sign back in again.
The above has worked for me each time the issue has arisen.

Hope that helps

Well who else would visit the site?

Well of course not many others would and I do believe it can be adjusted for.

But take some of the polls that ask how you liked # patch. There are alot of people who like the game that don't necessarily visit the website and forums. So you get people who say didn't like the patch and don't vote or people who liked the patch who don't vote or people who get technical difficulties and don't vote. You can clearly see that in WoW where a significant portion of the populace will miss an anouncement because it was only posted in the forums.

The people who tend to visit forums are the dedicated fanbase, which is not necessarily the entire fanbase.
