Difficulty Level -- List ?

Could someone list me the following or tell me how to go about finding it out?

Difficulty Level => Intelliegence (As a number and word)

Theoretical Example:
Tough => 50,Gifted

I feel like theres a problem as ive upped the difficulty to Crippling and it still seems like a joke. (Not very difficult at all) I want to compare the above against both the ingame and the debug.err file.

Any help appreciated

If your smart enough to ask the question, your probably good enough to win at suicidal difficulty on huge or gigantic maps. A large map with 4 opponents is also a good game for suicidal difficulty. Give it a shot and see what happens.

Stardock has been very silent recently on the bonus's that the AI gets at the different difficulty levels. The econ bonus is easy enough to calculate once your spying is maxed out but calculating the other bonus's they get is pretty difficult. The intelligence level of the AIs is listed but who other than Brad could really have any idea what that means.

Very good point.

Any other options to make the game a bit harder? I tend to just use default options (with the exception of intensive AI/CPU)

Some ways other than changing the intelligence to make the game harder?

Don't play on close clusters for star settings and play with lots of habitable worlds. That way the AI's better ability to micromanage comes out.

If you want to play an easier game play with few habitable worlds and with close clusters.

Any number of things you can do to handicap yourself. It'll depend on your play style.
Another post: Suicidal Winners ..... -- about 4 or 5 suicidal players are throwing around some nice comments you might be interested in.

Cakewalk = 15 (Fool)
Easy = 20 (Dunce)
Simple = 30 (Beginner)
Beginner = 40 (Sub-Normal)
Normal = 50 (Normal)
Challenging = 65 (Bright)
Tough = 80 (Intelligent) *Full AI capability from here on*
Painful = 85 (Gifted)
Crippling = 95 Genius)
Masochistic = 100 (Incredible)
Obscene = 120 (Godlike)
Suicidal = 150 (Ultimate)

And as Kblore mentioned, we really have no idea how the bonuses run these days.
But those are the numbers from the debug.err file along with their associated game settings.

Try 10 Ultimate opponents on a Small map with abundant stars/planets/habitable planets. And yes, 10 opponents can be had; look in Data/English/screens and you should be able to figure it out.
