Mirroring ship parts

I remember seeing a post regarding somehow double clicking on a piece of jewelry or whatever in the parts list and it would be mirrored so that you could put wings or whatever on a ship and have them be mirror images. Didn't come out right but you guys know what I mean. Any help?

I'd like to know if you can.

The broad, flat wings, if you place them one at a time, mount differently on the hardpoints. A real pain, since one will inevitably be offset a good deal from the other.

Yeah I've encountered that too, I thought it was due to a small asymetry in the parts but if there is a way to mirror it that would eliminate it and make me use those parts much much more often.

Is it possible?

I know I saw it in one of the stickies or whatever. I believe Kryo posted it. No matter what I search I can't seem to find it but it had to do with mirroring parts. I don't know if that was related to the hardpoints or not but I believe it had to do with certain pieces of jewelry that could be used as wings. I wish Kryo was in here or would read this or something!
Okay, I read everything that the search came up with in regards to "mirror". Maybe I should have said "reverse" parts. That is to say, there are a couple of pieces that would work as wings, but you can only use them on one side of a ship. If you place it on the other side, even when you "mirror" it, the angles are all wrong. Nothing to do with misplaced hardpoints, just wrong angle. Is there a way to reverse pieces?

Some parts have duplicates in the list which are a mirrored version (the straight angled wing is like this). Some don't, and short of remaking the model (or making a mirror), there's not much that can be done about it. Hardpoint symmetry is something else, which you can at least fake by using the multiple offsets in my mod.
