extracting mods

is there any way i can extract mods (ie kryos hull mod) without having full winzip. whenever i try to, i justget the program is not responding thing from winzip or winRAR.

The zip(s) aren't corrupt that I'm aware, so I don't know why it would act up like that. You can try using 7zip though, a free and open-source compression program that handles zip and rar as well as its own 7z format.

If you are using Windows XP, compression is built in to the OS.

You can right-click the .zip file, and from the context menu choose Extract All.
Then just follow the prompts, change the folder if you want, etc.

I just have a copy of WinRAR and use the quick right-click and right-button-drag menus for the zips, usually. If its on a system that doesn't have the paid-for version, it doesn't bug me about buying it when I do that.
