Does anyone know the AI % for each level of play?

I believe normal is 75% production and challenging is
100%, maybe 105%. I may be wrong. Is there to way to
find out? Or do just the devs know?

This would be good but how up to date is it?
I know the devs have changed things including
in 1.3 on the ai levels.

These are the values reported in the debug.err:

Cakewalk = 15
Easy = 20
Simple = 30
Beginner = 40
Normal = 50
Challenging = 65
Tough = 80 (* Full AI capability from here on (individual races at Intelligent or higher))
Painful = 85
Crippling = 95
Masochistic = 100
Obscene = 120
Suicidal = 150

Before 1.3 the highest (Suicidal) is 128, by the way.

As far as bonuses go, I have read in some other posts that it gets to 300% at Suicidal, but I am not sure how accurate that info is. I can't recall if it was a dev responding or a player.

I am not saying you are wrong, but the production levels quoted for
earlier versions were dramatically different--that is, higher for production
for AI compared to the human player. Now, I know they scaled back some of
the levels. I am pretty sure that Challenging was 100 or 105. At some point
higher up there was a big gap which they intended to change in 1.3.

In 1.0, Normal was 75% according to Manual. Most of the higher names in the manual for the higher levels have been replaced with other names.

Devs, give us some help!

The numbers I quoted were for the intelligence level of the AI, not the bonuses they get at the higher levels. I am not sure how the bonuses run, but those numbers were taken directly out of the debug.err file for each level.

I don't understand the silence we get from Stardock on this topic.
After all the game manual that came with the boxed version had the bonus's clearly listed. Even if they were wrong ( a presumption on my part ).
To me this indicates that Stardock had the intention of letting players know the bonus's the AI gets at the different Intelligence levels ( at least at one time ).

Brad is the only one who knows for sure (I certainly don't), so unless he sees it you're not likely to get a definite answer. I'll point him this way if I see him on, though.

It's a pity that the rest of the AI settings, most notably the bonuses on the highest levels, have been left obscure so far.

This also discussed in What is the Difference between "Masochistic", "Obscene", and "Suicidal"? There are a few replies from Brad/Frogboy/Draginol but the GalCiv2 Wiki - Difficulty Levels needs to be updated, especially with new levels added in v1.3. In the Galactic Civilizations II v1.3 Change Log, Brad/Frogboy/Draginol says "Eventually" he will update the Wiki.
