How to let game play itself

I am sure this has been asked before and the answer might be somewhere. If so, I am sorry.

I want to know if there is a way to get the game to play itself with no human player and it can be paused and we can look around and watch it?

Not with the standard interface, no.

There might be a cheat, I don't know since I don't use them.
