The only way to add your own music at present is to alter the actual music files. I found it easier to simply switch of the music and turn on a separate music player.
At last request to the dev's there were no plans to include a custom music player as there was in GC1.
Not sure why the option was removed, but then i am not a game programmer either

IIRC the option in GC1 was a big source of support calls/emails/complaints.

change your mp3 file name to one that is in the game and put it in the music folder.Create a backup of your current music files of course.

Yeah, kinda like some people who mangle the English language and cause literate people to develop embolisms. Is it too difficult to turn on the radio anymore?

Out of curiosity, what exactly were people complaining over?

Has anyone else noticed that the Game Manual provided with GC2 explicitly states:

"Use Custom Playlist: Enable this to play whatever music is currently in your music folder."

This is under "Audio Options", on page 24. Does this mean that it was considered at some point, but never removed from the manual? I think this is a great idea, and I promise not to file any help tickets if I experience problems.

My apologies - should've read the posts in other forums before asking that question. Looks like this discussion has been beat to death by now.
