Just wondering, are there any plans to make a standalone ship designer program? I ask because it'd be nice to be able to just pull up the ship designer and play around with it without having to load up the game, find a suitable savegame, wait for it to load, etc etc etc.

I have in mind a program that is basically the ship design window, with a few additional options such as race, colors, tech level, and so on. It'd be something that can run windowed, for easier alt-Tab use. Saved ships would be accessible and designable through the regular game.

Anyone know if this is doable?
