Stardock has teamed up with the popular Civilization-fan site, CivFanatics.com to bring you a contest I think many GalCiv II users will find very interesting -- a character creation contest.

The upcoming expansion pack for Galactic Civilizations II, Dark Avatar, will feature several in-game characters who will be part of the story for the campaign portion of the expansion pack.

Now, players will have the opportunity to propose characters for the story of the game. We will select 3 characters to integrate into the story of Dark Avatar.  Check out the contest info over at CivFanatics.com for more details.

Looks good. I'm going to enter it but I can't seem to get a confirmation e-mail from them from my sign up. I'll complain to someone if I don't get it by tomorrow. Anyone else having this problem? And I have a good idea too.

Arrrgh. The contest itself is a nice idea... Problem is if they are still working on races, it means the product is no where near ready to ship....

when I registered here it took a month for the confirmation e-mail to get here.What if its the same on civfanatics.com. By that time the contest will be over.

It took me about 5 minutes to register. How about trying it BEFORE complaining.

Besides, it seems that civfanatics uses a more... conventional forum system.

According to Thunderfall the judging should be done Tuesday afternoon... Any way the whole Korath/Koranth thing had me confused at the end, lol. Thunderfall's original post said Koranth, but all the stuff here says Korath. Can't wait for the results. Best of luck everyone.
