Main menu and Intro video in splotches

I just bought this game today and unfortunately, I can not play it. I do not have an internet connection to the computer that I am running it on, so I can not update it from that comp. Also, I can't transfer my debug.err from it. Nevertheless, I'm hoping for some help. I've gone through the forums and tried several things, but none have worked.

I have a 1.9 Ghz AMD Sehiphron(?) processer with 512 Mb DDR RAM. My paging file is 4Gb. My video card is an nVidia Geforce4 MX with the latest driver from the nVidia website. My sound works fine, I just can't see anything but huge splotches of color where graphics are supposed to be. I have tried upping my resolution and I am in 32bit color. When I first installed the game, the menu and intro video appeared, but the main menu had many things out of order, like menu option being in the wrong place and texts overlapping each other. After I closed it out to reopen it, it went to the huge splotches. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it gives me the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

well unfortunately the first thing that would likely fix this is a full update, but since you have it on a comp without internet connection maybe upload it to a flashdrive or something and then transfer.

I don't know the specifics of how to update if you don't have an internet connection, but there are some forumers that should help you with this better than I can.

GeForce 4 MX cards are below the minimum requirements for the game, and not supported. While it is possible to get the game running more or less properly with only a few known issues on such systems, we can't do much for you without more sepecific information, particularly that in your debug.err. I suggest you find someone with or purchase your own USB drive or some other portable media so you can provide this information. Once you have some portable media you will also be able to update and activate the game as well, which may well be the solution to (some of) your problems.
