Stars dieing and black holes

Ok i got another idea.

In the universe stars are born and they die, why not incorperate that into the game. Though make these events rare, very rare.

I supposing that a new star system would open up new planets and the death of a star would kill millions. Actully make the death of a star so dramactic, it's death fealt though EVERY sector (eg. the supernova of [name of star] has sent radition raining down apon the surface of all of your planets, ALL of your planets have had there class reduced by 1) or if you hold the planets of the dieing star (the star [name of star] has deid the planets of this star have been destroyed and the radation has reduced ALL of your planets classes by one).

Or even more dramatic (the star [name of star] has died and turned into a black hole sector [sector contianing black hole] is now impassable, anything in the sector has been destroyed by the blackhole).

There is a difference between the flavor-adding events that don't dramatically effect the game, and a game-breaking super nova.
The flavor-adding events have a reasonable chance in happening, and never make or break something. A doubling of a planet's base quality, or an improvement of all planets in a sector is sure handy, but you'll probably never find a game in which you can point and say "He won because of that class 32 planet."
A game-breaking super nova would have a really miniscule chance of happening, and a destruction of a star system has too much of an effect on the game to be something that happens at random. The same about the creation of a whole new star system. And it would be terribly unrealistic, colonizing a planet a week after it was created?

Hell that would take millions or billions of years for any of the mentioned things to happen.

Still you could have photo-star systems that take time to complete after a certian amount of turns or go the other way by warning the player that there star will die after a certian amount of turns

And still! It can take one day or one million years for a star to die... you cant just say "ill WILL happen in billions of years" As we dont really know how old some stars are

shadow, that could be exploited, because you just then GIVE the star system away to someone else, minimizing the actual loss for you

Silly idea.
