Can anyone plz help me play hotseat multiplayer on this game? Or even a direct LAN connection? Is there a MOD I have to install?

Um, no. There isn't enough demand for multiplayer, so they put there time and effort into better features.

Civ IV has hotseat multiplayer, and its great, the only downside is its hard to secretly build up an army with your opponent sitting next to you.

Booze helps mask your shady tatics. This game can definately benefit from a mulitplayer option. A lot of people don't give a game a chance unless it has a mulitplayer game built in. I know a lot of people that would rush to this game if it included that feature.

Isn't there an unoffical way to get hotseat multiplayer in the game though? I'm sure it was mentioned before that you can cheat and change to another civilization in the game and so switch back and forth. I don't know if that would work very well, but is a possibility.

Quote from the sticky thread entitled; Brad's "Did you know you could do this" thread

#5 You can play a quasi-Hot seat game with someone by loading up the game as GalCiv2 cheat (use the cheat parameter). Then when you set up the game, you let the AI play out a few turns and then have your friend pick one of the races they want to control. Have them select that unit and hit CTRL-SHIFT-Z.

*sigh* I regret buying the game. I should have went for Civ IV.

Why on earth do people keep thinking this game might/does have multiplayer? It doesn't say so anywhere, ever. If you're dissapointed, I suggest you learn to actually check what a game does, before buying it for the shiny shiny shiny box.

Also, the AI of galciv2 > Civ4, so the SP is far superior.
