Possible to resize small right window without changing resolution?

My tablet pc (12" screen, Pentium M 2GHz, 2GB RAM, Intel 915 chipset) has a screen resolution of 1400x1050.

Given the small screen however, it is difficult to make out whats on the small bottom right galaxy window (when its on the the giantic play area - which I always do). Is there a way to increase this part so that it takes up more of the screen, without having to drop down the resolution?

The minimap is fixed in size, but you can zoom in on it using the little + and - buttons to to its left (or if you have a mouse wheel equivalent you can use that).
