Good for you! Don't mind those other guys. They're just akin to an unmentionable part of the anatomy. BTW, I still can't figure out what WOOT means. I know it's an expression of excitement, but what does it stand for?

Great to hear it! Hope you are finding that you are now totally addicted and nothing else in your life matters anymore! So wifeypoo, girlfriend, whatever... they have to go now. And forget about going to work. Remember, just one more turn, it won't hurt. Sleep is for pussies, now get back in there and play, PLAY, PLAYYYYYYYY!!!!!! Seriously, it's a great game. Not tactically in depth but awesome in all other respects. If you like to micromanage, this one has your name on it. Just watch your back in here and remember, never take it personally (like I always do!)and use the advice that some of the posters in here, well, post. Always something new to learn if you look through the forum topics. Oh, and if for some reason you do find that you are having problems running the game, be patient and try all the advice that CariElf/Kryo/and even CodeCritter give, or have posted in a sticky. CariElf has one on there for reporting and dealing with any issues/bugs. Worth the look if you have problems. Now go claim that galaxy for yourself!
How To Report Crashes and Bugs / troubleshooting tips, that's the one!

One thing I've found that helps stabilize the game is to restart it every few hours. It seems to consume memory over time, especially after an invasion. Shutting down and restarting the game resets it in the computer's memory and keeps it running well.

The Stormbringer and Graig have hit the nail on head ...not only have my wife, my job, girlfriend, the kids and those dumb cats who want to be eat every day become a big pain in my butt ... I am having a hard time checking this web site often enough to keep up on the lastest dope on strat, ideas and updates that I htink the 24 hour day need to be reconsidered ...

Gah- memory leak problems?! $#!t, no wonder the game starts to get glitchy after hours of running...

Maybe if I had a 25 hour day I could complete a thought properly ...???

Maybe it's just a combination of 'Whoo!' or Whoop!' and 'Hoot!' (like 'give a hoot')... you know, just a random exclamation of excitement and whatnot. That it doesn't really mean anything in particular.
