You probably copied everything straight over or moved the HDD from the old computer, in which case you'll be getting a 'SID does not match' error when you try to start the game. Each activation is coded to the system it is done on; all you need to do is delete the file sig.bin in the GalCiv2 directory and reactivate.

SDC itself should have no problems, your account is good anywhere you go. Make sure you've got your password and email right though and aren't forgetting which ones you used.
