C drive full, but plenty of space on other drives

How to download movies, tutorials?

Maybe this was stupid of me when I set up my computer, but my C: drive is just big enough for Windows and swap files -- I put my data on drives D and X. I can't get StarDock to download the movies and tutorials to the drives where I plan to install them -- any advice out there? Setting the install to X doesn't help; it insists on downloading to C:.

In Stardock Central go to: Tools -> Settings and select Advanced at the bottom.

You'll want to change the Downloads Directory to another drive and that should do the trick.

Actually, I think just keeping Windows stuff on the C:/ is a good idea. It's what I do. I never ever get viruses on my D:/, and it makes it easier to wipe out and re-install Windows when the time comes for that, usually every six months or so.

Thanks for the help -- I was away on vacation and couldn't reply right away. It works like a charm!

It's a great idea to separate your data from the operating system. Just get ahold of a copy of "Partition Magic" and adjust the sizes of your drives to give your C drive a bit more room.

Also, if you haven't moved your My Documents folder to your D drive, you may want to do that as well, so that it has room for your save files.
