The rarest of the rare...?

I've had this game since it came out, and have never seen the precursor library on any planet. Two days ago, I was finishing a game, and took over a planet that had one! Then the next day I was starting a new game, and colonized not one, but two planets that had precursor libraries!! What do you think about that? Crazy, huh?

it's pretty random, but it aint so rare... especially if playing with lots of habitable planets and in large galaxy...

started game in center of galaxy with a precursor mine on homeworld and found a library on planet close by... then as I rush and colonize planets (amen to the production power of homeworld) 2 more precursor mines and 1 more precursor library was obtained... total 3 precursor mines and 2 libraries, which really helped after all hell broke loose in mid game and everyone is fighting everyone and I happen to be sitting in the middle of it all and fighting on all fronts... lol

You were probably late getting patch 1.2--they were fixed/added then, so they now appear about as frequently as 700% manufacturing tiles.

I dunno, but sometimes it seems that when I have abundant anomalies I also have lots of planetary bonuses. Of course it could all be me...

Taking the "luck" attribute really helps too.

Ah, that explains it. I never used to use that, but decided to try it finally. That makes much more sense now.

Once i had a class 30 planet with TWO prescursor mines and a precursor library. Needles to say I did a dance of pure joy then went on to crush the galaxy under my booted, supre lucky heel.

Luck is the best possible value for a single attribute point! I'm considering

stopping using it because it gives such a big advantage.

Huh, with that lot you should be making tooled-up mediums in one turn.

well the best racial ability in my mind is planetary bonus

why; because i was at war with the Acreans and Pimus I was a class 26 at the time
and was held by the Acreans, i had a planetary bonus every time i took a planet.SO the planet was invaded several time by me and them and by the time i held it for good it was class 50

best three points i spent

I think that's why I never used it before. I was afraid of having too much advantage, and thus not enough fun. I was still getting precursor mines on occasion, but had never seen the library until this past weekend.

Heck, you should be making battleships in a turn, probably even huge ships.

It's too bad that you are limited to one ship per turn even on a high production planet. It would be so cool to see 12 blue icons at the start of the turn:

Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld
Fighter Mk IV built on ProductionWorld

Then click that "launch all" arrow and BAM, instant swarm fleet.
