Problem with Civ's

Hi, i'm kinda new posting, so i hate to have my 1st post a problem...

Anyway, i made a civ before, replaced the Arcean Empire and planets and such and it worked. Now i'm trying to make a 2nd civ over it, but the Text and civ don't go, the only thing that does is the image... I've also tried to replace the Drath for it, but with the same results...

Any help??

If you're modding RaceConfig.xml, you'll need to delete any .raceconfig files in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 corresponding to the races you mod. Any raceconfig files there hold temporary changes you make when you tweak your race at the start of a new game, and override the settings in RaceConfig.xml.

Thnx, i'll try it out, but i only edited the raceinfo and the customplanet files i believe.

Is the Config another one in the same location? (Sorry if this sounds stupid, but i love this game more for its concept, being able to change it to your will...)

Yep.

Not to one up the good Senator, but you can just hit "clear" in the race select screen. It'll let you keep the ingame mod of the race, while letting the edits in the .xml file show.

Sorry again but; Those are?

Every time you adjust a race the game creates a file to record those changes, named for example 'Terran Alliance.raceconfig'. It puts these in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 along with your save games, ship designs, etc.

Great! That helped, but now i have a new problem...

Now i have my civ, but the name is still Drath Legion...
I wanted to change it to CIS with the "the general" pic-pack...
Also, i can't do a thing, seeing as the game crashes after the "pick-a-race" screen...

Any suggestions?

If the game is crashing after the race pick screen, you likely did something wrong in the data files--you should check them over, compare to the originals, or just start clean.

Thanks!!

1 final question.
Is there a request forum? You know, where you ask for, like, Jedi Logo's and Leaders? Because i'd like to include a hint of Star Wars.

Thanks again,
