How to have metaverse data icons appear on post

I've noticed that many posters have their metaverse data show up at the bottom of their post. I don't think mine is doing that. Is there a setting that I need to tweak?

Go to http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=managecharacters and click the darkened 'Default' button next to the character whose medals you want to appear on your posts. It should light up to indicate that character has been chosen, and your medals should apear from that point on.
