"StarGate Atlantis Fans"

There are such people?!?
Sorry, no offence, but I consider that show to be amongst the most lame spin-offs ever made.

Ok, since you asked nicely.....GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!!!!!! GIMME NOW!!! lol jk

Haven't watched atlantis yet, (no cable) but when I heard about it I thought it sounded like a dumb idea, I'd rather they put more life into SG1 then waste resources on another show.

That's funny, to me it seems Atlantis has more life than SG1, because SG1 is on a downhill slide without Richard Dean Anderson.

Actually, SG-1 is far from downhill without RDA. (Why it's the longest running scifi)
It never revolved around RDA, and this is just proof. Season 9 and 10 have probably had the best writing so far in the show. Atlantis is a great spin off because it works brilliantly with SG-1 concurrently. (The crossovers make sense!)

Nice ship.

Sweet, it's the Hippoforalchus.......I mean the Orion Pity the Ancient warships look so....blocky, I was expecting something ultra-advanced looking. Any plans to add Hive Ships? THOSE look cool.

Just to point something out, I never said Atlantis sucked, in fact, I admitted to never having watch it, I just said the idea of it sounded dumb in the begining, in point of fact, I am going to watch it (assuming I get drawn into it like I did with SG1. As of right now (having watched the first 8 seasons of SG1 and nothing of atlantis)I dont mind having two stargate series, I'd just rather have 14 seasons of one continual show rather then two seven season shows where you need to get used to new characters.

Just one more thing, as far as lamest spinoffs I have but one word.....Joey....lol

I really liked both, but then after two shows into Atlantis, I got really busy. So now I just read the scripts on TwizTV when I have a chance. Kind of annoying, because whenever I do get to see a show, I have NO idea what the characters look like.

Now that that tangent is over with,

That is an awesome ship. I wish I knew how to make one like that.

You and me both, I've tried to tinker with 3d max on the trial but sadly it was way over my head.

I'm currently working on the Star Trek mod which is coming along quite nicely. Once that is close to being completed we will focus on the Star Gate mod. There are alot of SG models on the way. Due to people misusing my conversions I won't be releasing any models until the mod comes out. Sorry guys. Don't worry the wait won't be very long.

I only saw the series premier of Atlantis and didn't like it, so I stopped watching. Later on I went back and saw a chunk of the first and second seasons (plus what's running now) and I actually like the show better than SG-1 now. I think it's because I like the characters more on Atlantis (except for Ronin and Shepard), either that or I'm just getting sick of the SG-1 crew.

stargate is the only show i like richard dean anderson on and then he isn't all that good

and i think that if you relook at the orion she isn't a warship but a colony ship pressed into war

I tried to watch SG a few times and really did not like the show.

Not that my opinion would be considered a valid one, two of my favorite SF series were both cancelled promptly (Farscape and Firefly).

I didn't even know SG had ships, no sign of them in the couple of episodes I have seen.

Great looking ships, good job. Man I suck at making ships. How long does one of those take?

No, your opinion is valid. Everybody loved Farscape and Firefly (except Sci-Fi and Fox, but we've already established that they're idiots). I just don't happen to agree with you on Stargate. I watch it because it has a working combination of serious drama and comedy (similar to GC2's, actually), and manages to focus on scientific stuff and get it right. It's also interesting to watch Earth grow from "insignificant nuisance" to "galactic superpower" over the course of ten seasons.

Stargate does have ships (it has to - wormhole generating rings don't build themselves) but they're not as prominent as in other SF shows. The first six seasons or so of SG-1 are essentially landlocked, and when Earth does get its own capital ship in Season Six, it's a really big deal. Atlantis is post SG-1 Season Six, so there's a lot more space action in it (mainly the Daedalus versus Wraith hiveships).
