starbase prices question

This may have been in the game all along and I never noticed it. But I just got the latest beta, and I noticed that at some point it's charging me to put up new starbases, and the amount it's charging me is increasing. It seems like it's based on the total number I have and not the number per sector, and it has something to do with my logistics. I just can't figure out what the system is, and I looked around and couldn't find any beta patch notes that describe it. So if someone could explain to me how it works, I'd appreciate it.

Yep, that's always been the case. I don't know the exact formula, but the first few starbases are free; subsequent ones cost. Resource bases are always free but count towards the total when it comes to determining how much new economy / military / influence bases cost.

It is a function of your logistics--the higher your logistics, the lower the cost for new starbases. I also don't know the formula, but do know they can get expensive if you've been neglecting your logistics research!
