Purchased the CD's

Well I purchased the CD's about 2 months ago and then had to move to Washington State.. well I had the CD's shipped to me but when they arrived they were broken and at the time I thought I had basically lost the 40 some odd dollars I spent on them so I threw everything away..

well it has come to my attention that I can download the game even though the CDs are gone.. the problem there is I dont have the serial number and the one time I installed the game I dont remember it asking me to use the serial code (cause I was a bit tipsy and looking to goof off with a new game).. and therefore dont know if my email address is on the site's databanks

would anyone be able to get a 4x fan boy and lover of all things space opera his game back?

Thanks for your time

You could try emailing support@stardock for help. Assuming you paid by credit card, I imagine they might be able to work something out.

Well, it depends on whether or not you bought it from Stardock or some other webstore. If you bought from Stardock they should have your information.

Actually I got the game at a retail store (Best Buy to be exact) so that will make things a bit more difficult wont it?

hehe I dont actually expect to be able to get the key, but I figure it's worth a shot

In that case you're stuck, unfortunately. Stardock would only have your information if you had specifically registered the game or bought it from the Stardock Store/TGN.

Yet another reason to cut out the middle man and go directly to the source! If you order directly from Stardock all the money goes back to them and helps fund their future projects.

For future reference, most game companies will send you a replacement copy for $10 if you can prove that you own the origional. I'm not sure if Star Dock does though.

Actually Stardocks offered me a replacement Key for a lowly 20$, so it seems that's the best I can do, which is better than another 50$ hehe.. thanks for your help all.. and I'll be joining the conquest for the Galaxy soon enough
