If a mod allowing unlimited starbases has been made, where is it?

If it hasn't been made, how can it be made?

It can't be made, since there is an internal limit of four starbases per sector per player, IIRC.

I thought it was that they have to be 3 or 4 spaces apart.

No, that was GalCiv 1.

In the GalCiv II v1.0 release they had to be 3 spaces apart and then in v1.1 that was changed to 4 per sector. I think the old limit made more sense since now you can have 16 starbases next to each other where 4 sectors meet.

So if you can have 16 together and military bonuses stack, that would be a extremely nasty setup. I wish the AI would do stuff like that

actually you can only build 4 starbases one of the players found out you can own as many bases as you want in a secter the others you have to buy from other races in his/her sample screen shot they owned 16 bases unless that was changed in the upgrades

New ideas! Can:

a) starbases be given movement points, or

b) ships be built that act like starbases?
(when constructors intersect, add a module)
