GalCiv movie

This just came to me: A Galactic Civilazations movie. Although game-based movies don't have a clean track record, (Mortal Kombat was good though) If it got a decent director and cast, we could have a summer blockbuster! Although if I directed, i'd make the plot Stargte-y. A Star Wars Wars -style GalCiv movie would be generic. What do you think? Should it be made into a movie, or left in our computers? Of corse, it wouldn't have to be live0action it could be computer-generated.

I doubt it would be good idea, a movie where the hero would be a dictator of a civilazation ordering every random taxpayer to get a rifle and go genocide on a planet while he sit's in an office, listening to ugly torians telling him to get that transport off their yard wouldn't seem that intriging of a plot.

Perhaps If more people would've seen the first Direct-To-VHS GalCiv movie we'd have more demand for a sequel

I actually mentioned this idea of turning the game into a film last month or so..but it was struck down by most people and it was instead suggested for it to be a TV series or a book.Its understandable because the game itself borrows heavily from other sci-fi franchises like star trek and SG but who knows what will happen in the future.

Well, you certanly don't pull any punches!   HOWEVER!! I left one thing out: It wouldn't have to do any thing with the plot of the game, just use the charactars.And no, not in some twisted buddy-movie way.
