More game examples coming soon?

First off let me say that I love this game, the AI intelligence is great and I love the ability to build my own ships.

That said, I love reading the game examples just as much, if not more sometimes, than playing. So I was just wondering if there were plans to make some more? I understand that the devs may be preocuppied with updating the game and what not, but i extremely enjoy them and want to know.

Also, does anyone know of a website where users can post their own game examples? I am hopefull that there is a website out there that compiles reports and what not, similar to the way that some Civ IV websites do it.

Thanks for the answers

If you are willing to take the time to make one, you could probably make your own game example, provided you know how to format pictures and write a story or at least a debriefing.

Game example? What the hell is that?

I know I'd love to read game examples/after action reports written by the community!  That was probably one of the best parts of the days leading up to Master of Orion 3, all the beta testers posting their AARs and stories about their games.

Unfortunatley, I have tried writing some myself for Civ IV and have failed misserably, they are just not interesting. The main reason why I like them is because I love to get inside the player's mind and know why they do a certain move, and see their process of playing the game.

If you read through the dev journals you will she more examples.

Wow thanks for that link, I had not read that. That is so great, I cannot seriously wait for the expansion, even if it just included this feature

They should be "forced" to do at least one every time they release a big patch to show people how it changes things. I probably learned more from those game examples about the game than anything else.

I did one myself, but all of two people bothered to read it, so I didn't bother to do another.

If 5 people are born per second, thats 300 per minute, 18,000 per hour, 432,000 per day, 3,024,000 per week. Not to nitpick or anything but i don't know where 2100 comes from.

I think he ment one birth every 5 seconds.

*Edit* Wrong thread, wierd glitch*

What you mean is "all of two people bothered to comment about it". I find myself reading some AARs but not commenting because I want the story to "flow". When you get 25 comments in between postings, it gets annoying (to me, the reader). Of course, I'm sure that some feedback to the author is always appreciated.

I guess I wish that the "story" posts by the author can all be in a thread and all the comments in another thread so that you can read the story straight through without the interruptions.

I've got an AAR in the works, but I want to have it completely written up before I post it. The reason is because it really sucks if you run out of steam to finish the writeup, and you just stop the story halfway through (seen this on many AARs). So if I have it all done, I can easily post them 1 day apart or something, but still make sure everything is in decent shape first.

More? Could someone tell me where and what these game examples are?

You can find them in one of the forums, can't remember which. However, there are some up if you click on Databank -> Game examples

Thanks. Those examples are actually really cool to look over... things I never really thought about like creating a larger ship and then some smaller support ones to create custom fleets... I usually just create one main ship and make tons of them.
