Manufacturing Plant?

After all the tiles on a planet are full is there any reason to keep the manufacturing plants or should you just destroy them and build something else?

I would think you should keep factories to build ships and update improvements in a reazonable amount of time.

Well I already have all the upgrades. I didn't know if you needed Manufaturing plants to build ships or not, I guess it makes sense though.

Yes I have all the upgrades for tiles. I don't have all the weapons upgrades but everything else yes. I don't see why building ships has anything to do with research?

Don't destroy/demolish ever...upgrade them its better.

I have usually won before I get into this situation, but if its an eco or tech or pop planet, I usually start to upgrade the factories to stock exchanges/NLC's (or highest research building)/farms+morale buildings. Your industrial power house planets should be able to churn out all the ships u could ever need, yes? Or u could just purchase them?

ok here is how it goes factories add to military and social production since you don't use your social production it's carried over to military. you need plants to chug out ships faster.
