Graphs and crashs

Hi gamers,

Just wondering if anyone has had the same problems or issues... I bought the game from the shops and installed it, grabbed the update and installed it and had crashes after bout 6 or 7 turns. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled the original version (1.0) from the CDs and it works fine. I'm in the process of downloading the patch again.

The other hassle that I have noticed was that the graphs have huge gaps in them from times when I have not played it (this is when a saved game has been loaded).

Feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers

Could you post your debug.err from a crashed game? This file is located in the GalCiv2 directory.

Regarding the graphs with the huge gaps, could you take a screenshot of this? The easiest way might be to launch GalCiv2 in a window and use the PrintScrn key as you would normally.

Thank you,

Regarding the graphs, that's quite normal since you get an extra movement round after loading a game, but no production whatsoever takes place. So you and all ai opponents have 0 production, research etc.
I really hope this gets fixed in 1.3.

Can you let me know where I can post the image of the graph that I have taken?

I will install the update again and see if it crashes then post the debug.err file.

Oldschool:

The first entry in the 1.3 beta changelog indicates that it fixes the "0 production when loading a saved game" bug.

Th ehuge gaps in the production chart are actually just 1 turn going to zero production when you load a saved game. You actually get a free movement turn with no production. fixed in 1.3 we are told. May that bug die an ugly death.
